Will there be a Police Department?

Question: Will the City of Delta Junction form a police department?

Answer: Most small rural boroughs currently rely on Alaska State Troopers for such services. There was no in-depth discussion at the Deltana Borough Charter Commission meetings on the matter. The proposed Deltana Borough does not include a police department. The proposed Deltana Borough petition only calls for the continuation of existing city functions along with the required responsibility of education services.
