Pete was appointed to serve on the
City Council on August 7, 2007, elected on October 2, 2007, and
again in 2010. He was elected Mayor Pro tem in 2008, 2009, 2010,
and 2011. He was elected Mayor on October 9, 2012 and will serve
through his term, October 2013.

Pete moved to Alaska in 1971, served the City & Borough of Sitka
for 20 years as borough attorney, assembly member, and mayor.
After a 28-year career as an attorney, he and his family moved
to Delta Junction in 1999 to serve the City as Director of the
Local Redevelopment Authority under BRAC '95 and re-establish
the position of Municipal Administrator. Pete retired in July
2007 after eight eventful years as Administrator for the City of
Delta Junction. An Alaska local government nerd, Pete is proud
to have been an involved witness to the economic re-birth of
Delta as a vibrant community through construction of Pogo Mine,
Federal retention of Fort Greely, and construction of the
Ground-Based Midcourse Defense. Pete's City administrative
duties included oversight of planning, construction, and major
upgrade of City facilities including the new landfill, new
library, new fire and ambulance buildings, new television
transmitters, indoor hockey facilities, new fire trucks,
ambulances, and reconstruction of the airport runway.
The Hallgren family attends the Delta
Christian Center Church and they are members of a number of
local organizations. Pete is a racecar enthusiast and also
enjoys four-wheeling, hunting, camping, and cutting firewood.

Dawn was elected to the City Council in
2008, 2009, and 2012 and will serve a three-year term through
October 2015. She was elected Mayor Pro tem on October 9, 2012
and will serve at the pleasure of the City Council for the
one-year term.

Dawn and her family have resided in Delta since 1981. A
home-schooling mother of four grown children, she has been
active in many local organizations, including the Deltana Fair,
the Delta Skating and Hockey Association, her church, and the
Delta Youth Court. Dawn retired from teaching preschool after 15
years. She is the supervisor for Big Delta Weather Station at
Allen Army Airfield, where she has been employed since 1996. She
serves as a commissioner on Serve Alaska, the Alaska Community
Service Commission, having been appointed by the governor in
2006. In her free time, Dawn enjoys quilting, scrap booking,
traveling, and her family.

Mary was elected to the City Council in 1982 and served
until 1991. She was again elected in 1997and every three-year
term thereafter through 2012. She did not run in 2012, but was
elected by the voters of the area as a write-in. Her current
term will end in 2015. She served as Mayor Pro tem (1989/1990
and 1998/2006) and as Mayor (1985/1989 and August 2006/October
2012) |

Mary has lived most of her life in Delta Junction, arriving in
1960. She retired in 2003, having been employed as the librarian
at the Delta-Greely School since 1977. She is currently employed
as a library aide, is a long-time member of the Delta Library
Association, and Historian for the local igloo of Pioneers of
Alaska. Her hobbies include bird watching, growing violets,
berry picking, and reading.

JW was appointed to serve on the City Council on August 15,
2006, was elected to a one-year term on October 3, 2006, and
re-elected to three-year terms on October 2, 2007 and again on
October 5, 2010. |

JW has been a city resident since 1956, is employed
as a technician for Alyeska, and pilots a Super Cub in his spare
time.

Sebastian was elected to serve on the City
Council on October 4, 2011.

Sebastian has lived in the Delta area his entire life,
and has lived inside the city limits since 1990, except for a
few years while attending UAF. He works in the family business,
which provides land surveying throughout Interior Alaska. He is
an avid amateur photographer who enjoys the outdoors. Sebastian
is excited to serve and participate in the local city
government. |

October 6, 2009. He was re-elected to a 3-year term on October

Sherman came to Alaska in 2003 to work at the Missile Defense at
Ft. Greely. He had fifteen years serving the U.S. Army,
four years of that with the State of Alaska Army Guard. He
completed two tours in the Middle East and one with the State of
Alaska. Sherman is a small business owner, specializing in
repair of small engines and ATVs. He enjoys working in the
greenhouse, canoeing, fishing, and traveling with his wife,
Rachelle. |

Lonny was appointed to the City Council on December 11, 2012 and
will serve until the next regular election on October 1, 2013.
Lonny and his family have lived in Delta Junction for the past
two years and he is a father of three. He retired from the U.S.
Army in 1996, is employed as the Chief of the Plans, Analysis
and Integration Office, the Strategic Planner for Fort Greely
and is trained in FEMA emergency preparedness. Lonny also
volunteers with the Delta Rescue Squad and the Local Emergency
Planning Committee (LEPC).
